Two court challenges to the charge were denied in May 2026, and both sets of challengers — the Attorney General's office and Vote Solar with Earthjustice — are appealing to the Nevada Supreme Court. The Powerwall's 10-year warranty is held by whoever owns the system. If you buy with cash or a loan, that's you. On a subscription plan, the system owner holds it — which works in your favor: the owner is responsible for the equipment performing for the full 25-year term, so a battery problem is the owner's problem to fix, not a claim you have to file. Just don't let anyone quote you "a 10-year warranty on the system" — the solar system's workmanship coverage is 25 years; the 10 years is the battery hardware.
